2011 GENERAL RULES

Proper Dress REQUIRED to Enter Class - Long Sleeve Shirt, Long Pants, Western or English Hat & Boots - Chaps are optional.

Peewee -11 yrs & Under, Junior -12 -17 yrs, Adult -18 yrs & Over

NO late entries. You MUST be registered in class BEFORE class is called to arena.

Four (4) entries constitutes a class, less than 4 will require cancellation of class including Championship and Payback classes.

Due to length of Open show, NO classes will be added.

NOVICE = Anyone (person) that has not won a blue ribbon prior to this year.

GAITED & RACKING classes are for Non-Trotting equines only.

GAIT CODES= Walk, Jog, Trot, Lope, Canter, Back, Slow Gait, Style Gait, Gait On (fastest gait for your breed), Pleasure Gait, Loose Rein at a walk

WILDCARD CLASS - Buckle Points add to winner’s division & are also counted toward Daily High Point Award.

The Arena Gate MUST be CLOSED before you start your run in ALL GAME CLASSES. Your horse MUST come to a complete STOP before the arena gate is opened. Runs started BEFORE gate is closed will be disqualified.

Any questions concerning the RULES and/or CLASSES should be directed to the registration booth.

EACH CLASS is open to all equines: horse, pony, donkey, mule

Two Memorial trophies are awarded:

Jimmy Grubb Memorial Trophy -

High Point Pleasure Rider receives trophy & $50

Jason Tarlton Memorial Trophy -

High Point Game Rider receives trophy & $50

Points awarded in all classes (except those noted) are:

1st - 4 points, 2nd - 3 points, 3rd - 2 points, 4th - 1 point
